What has inspired you to learn another language? Why English? Just to earn more money? To travel?…
None of your positive reasons are bad, but are there stronger reasons which only you know?
In my classes – if you’ve been keeping up with my posts, one of my most repeated writings is, “learning with me, you need two basic things; a strong desire to learn – questions in my classes are almost mandatory (never turned down, even if I have to ‘find’ an answer for you), and your comfort in learning and ” performing “, that is, your ability to speak with native English speakers.” Of course this is not a word-for-word rendition of what I’ve stated in the past, but the meaning is represented.
I will help you be your best, IF you do your part, which is, show up, listen and participate in class, study whatever homework I give you (not much, it’s mostly for pronunciation*) and ask questions – if you leave class with unanswered questions, that’s on YOU. I attempt to make all classes enjoyable so my students can remember, with enjoyable memories!
I came across this video today. While its not about English, the message about learning is the same throughout life. Watch, listen, learn and contact me with any questions relating to learning.
All the best!
