Two Words That Confused Even Me for a Long Time!

Wow! That’s b……..

Although I’m a native born American, and a teacher since I was literally a late teenager, here is one word that I didn’t use much, hence my inability to choose which is correct for the sentence and to convey the feeling at the time.

I didn’t learn this as I’m going to explain it to you now – good luck!

The most common usage of this word , for me is a similar word to, “That’s strange!”

The word I’m referring to is, “That’s bizarre!”

They mean ‘about’ the same:

Definition of: ‘bizarre’ is: ”. Learn more at: ‘https://www.dictionary.com/browse/bizarre

She looks bizarre

My way of remembering is… well, it’s just my way – not necessarily useful for you…

“Bi-“, (for me) meaning two, meaning two, not just one way… to see things – including life.

My confusion was with, bi and ba.

I didn’t have a way to think of, “Let’s go to the bazaar.” In the US and Mexico, the bazaar is simply, the market, or open market. A place where you can buy things from typically individuals, not stores. So…

Merriam-Webster’s definition of “bazaar”: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bazaar

We have similar here in Mexico

So, referring to the incomplete sentence below the title;

“Wow! That’s bizarre!”

“This bazaar is huge!”
