Here are two words, spelled differently, they have very different meanings that you should know, but their pronunciation is the same – welcome to English!

  • Just wait until we get into context’s… 🙄

So, what are the differences between mean and mien?

Since I’m fairly sure you know the meaning of mean, let’s start with mien – don’t forget to tap the speaker button to hear its pronunciation:

Now, let’s – okay, let’s meaning you, learn why you should write, especially in English daily.

Besides the obvious – practicing what you’ve learned, venturing into words and phrase’s that you don’t know as yet, having questions for a human teacher that you’re not sure how to ask a computer (computers usually want precise questions), we humans can occasionally guess at what you want.

Learning from books and AI alone only prepares you to past test’s – school tests and international tests such as, the TOEFL (American), IELTS (British) certification’s. I’ve met many who believe that since they’ve passed the schools and the international tests, and got their teaching certificate’s, they think they’re equal to natives. Not so.

If I, or any foreigner learns your language from its basics, even when I get a teaching certificate for your language, do I know enough to have a very casual conversation with everyone? No matter its context?
